Apple Cinnamon French Toast Recipes - It's Baked!

This amazing recipe is simple enough to make. You will enjoy eating this in the morning or even brunch. I got this recipe from another site, which i don't remember. If you know of it, i will give the credit where its due. You can easily feed 4 people with this one.

For ingredients, you just need 10 thick slices of French bread. 6 eggs and beat them lightly. 2 1/2 cups of milk. 2/3 cups of granulated sugar. 1 tbsp of vanilla. 4 apples; peel, core them and slice them thin. 2 tbsp of cinnamon. 3/4 tbsp of ground nutmeg and finally 1 tbsp of butter.

First for your French toast recipe you will need to put the bread slices in a baking dish around 13 inches by 9 inches (around two inches deep).

Combine your eggs, milk, half the sugar and then vanilla extract. Add half of the mixture over the french toast inside the dish. Then top them with the sliced apples.

Combine your cinnamon, nutmeg and the rest of the sugar. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the apples and then top with some more apple slices. Finally pour the rest of the egg mixture over the apples and sprinkle with the rest of the sugar mixture.

Splatter some of the butter over the dish (dot over the french toast dish) and cover it. You'll need to chill this for 8 hours.

Remove from the fridge and let sit for 30 or so minutes. Uncover the dish and bake at 350 degrees F for a whole hour or just until an inserted knife comes out clean from the center.

Let stand for 10 minutes and serve.
